Our Goals are, Insha’Allah, | | 1. To ensure that our students achieve spiritual excellence, i.e. that they have a God-conscious spirit. | | | a) That our students know and follow the basic rules of Islam and are comfortable with minor differences in interpretation. b) That our students recognize the Quraan as a guide for life, can recite it with Tajweed, and understand the basic meanings of the verses | | | 2. To ensure that our students achieve moral excellence, i.e. that they are self-directed individuals that have a sound grasp of the principles of moral reasoning and a commitment to moral action, with an emphasis on integrity, honesty, kindness, and justice. | | | 3. To ensure that our students achieve intellectual excellence, i.e. that they are complex thinkers with an understanding of the major, recurring issues of humankind and the impact of significant events and discoveries on the course of human development. | | | a) That our students have an excellent command of both English and Arabic, as well as a strong foundation in all essential subjects including but not limited to math, science, information technology, history, geography, literature, and the arts. | | | 4. To ensure that our students achieve physical excellence, i.e. that they are well-balanced and understand the scope and importance of balance and well-being in their personal and collective life, and actively work to establish it. | | | 5. To ensure that our students achieve interpersonal excellence, i.e. that they are collaborative partners with the community and have an understanding of the role of good communication, cooperation, fairness and friendship to establish and maintain meaningful relations between individuals and groups including those of other faiths and cultures. | | 6. To ensure that our students achieve cultural excellence, i.e. they are committed to a lifestyle consistent with the principles and practices of Islam, especially as reflected in their daily interactions with others, and that they display patience, humility, modesty, and consideration. | | | 7.
